Waikite Valley Community Hall Work Day

Sustainable tourism means more than just environmental issues and recycling. 

Since opening the doors in 1973, we have always been a community facility, and we like to do our bit to support the local community. It’s important to us that New Zealanders benefit from tourism operating in their communities.  

The Waikite Valley Community Hall is a tremendous community asset where many functions, including weddings, funerals, reunions, birthday celebrations are held. 

In October 2021, as part of Clean up Week from Keep New Zealand Beautiful, the team spent some time giving the community hall some much needed TLC including water-blasting, lawnmowing, painting, pruning and clearing gutters.
